Grief doesn’t know time, or subtlety, diminishment or logic. It just knows love. As hard as it is to lose a pet, the grief is something I will always carry proudly. Love is the most painful privilege we have because it is the most rewarding thing we have honor of experiencing. Bullwinkle is not a replacement for Sammy – I would never consider him such. He is his own form of furry love. and I’m so glad I’m able to help save him from a life on the streets.
