64 Ruminations

Every February I have a birthday. One year older. One year better. I’ve always felt that my life was an effort in continuous improvement – soft of an individual Six Sigma. For the most part I think I have achieved that – some times more and some times less. The bottom line is that I am learning from my mistakes.
So, its 2016 already and as I age my friends and associates want to know about my “bucket list.” So do I. There are a lot of things I would like to do before I bid this plane farewell, but most of the really important things have already been taken care of. Naturally I would like to see more of this planet (I’ve always wanted to visit Venice) and traveling into space has always been an interest. But there is nothing that I am dying to do. Maybe travel Route 66 from Chicago to California, or explore the Mayan ruins of Belize. But you know what, if I don’t have the opportunity to do those things, then so be it. I have a lot to be thankful for and I still get up each morning ready to enjoy what comes my way.
